It's Time For An Update

Seems that I haven't updated this blog since I first made it. Since then, I've acquired a Canon 7D which I've been using to make videos to pass the time.

It's quite an exceptional device - with the hands of a creative geniuos, the full potential of the 7D can be manifested... too bad I'm not a creative geniuos. Yes, I'm well aware of my spelling error. ;)

The first video just tests out the 7D under low light conditions. You guys may be familiar with the Nike ad that features LeBron James. We found it suitable to use a similar script as it's short and simple. In most scenes, my friend was just lit up with the flash from an iPhone 4. No external microphone was used which is evident in the noisy audio.

My second video that I composed was just me trying to get all creative. Not very successful, but I liked the result nevertheless. Walking through the Brisbane CBD filming feet. I post processed it in Premiere Pro as a black and white clip, with a slowed down version of Kanye's All Of The Lights Interlude from his MBDTF album.

One thing to notice about the way I film is that I love fidgeting with the focus. It's almost like a mannerism to me now. Maybe that'll change in my future videos. Or maybe not.
